Katana sword is often characterized as the greatest sword of all time? Is it true? To a great extent, it is. I would reveal the reasons in this article regarding why we know it as an all time great sword. Another sword that is often portrayed as the greatest of all time is the Longsword that hails from Europe. Katana, on the other hand, was a Japanese sword. So, there is a great rivalry  between these two swords. However, we believe that katana is superior, for the following reasons:

Whenever we talk about katana, we are inclined towards the Samurai and Ninja warriors. These two were arguably the best warriors who used katana. So, a special sword used by some special warriors has to be the greatest of all time. Samurais were considered the elite warriors while ninjas were smarter in their fighting skills. Since we have stepped into a modern world that relies on firearms and nuclear weapons, we still consider katana as the weapon of warriors.
